Malnad is the region of western ghats which is suited for  Tea, Coffee plantations. The slopes are an eye-treat to watch anytime of the day. The sweeping mist and a wall of rain across the slopes are picture perfect.

The picture is self explanatory....The Hues at Sunset during my recent outing was memorable. I was on one of the peaks bordering Dakshina Kannada & Malnad. I could see the river Nethravathi Snaking thro.

Middle of a Tea Estate is this dilapidated House. Probable once used by the workers. This is a view from THANGAALI HOME STAY, KALASA, CHICKAMANGALUR. The early morning sunlight brought out the best in this image. This image is made using CANON 300 F2.8 and  CANON 1DMK4.

This was the early morning view from our room. The place called THANGALI HOME STAY at Gali Gundi near Kalasa, Chickmagalur. Beautiful place for nature lovers entrenched away from civilization.

This Bridge which was constructed across river Bhadra a Decade ago is the life line between the temple town of Horanadu and Kalasa. One of the most picturesque place in have been to.

Some spectacular colors during the Sun set at Chari Dand, Greater Rann of Kutch. This place is a wet land patch in the middle of the desert at Great Rann of Kutch. Its a habitat and provides roosting site for many birds.

Vast plains of Desert and virtually no reference for direction is a difficult situation for some one new to the terrain. You loosing the way is imminent if locals are not your guide.

Serenity of this place where I stayed  at Kanha Tiger Reserve. Just a few kilometers away from the reserve. The ambiance was so good i could have stayed days on....!!

Mesmerising it was...the tranquility and calmness in the air in the vast plains of GRK desert. It is seen to be believed. One has to experience this at least in one's life time.

TYPICAL YALA WILD LIFE RESERVE..!!

This is the exact place where the Tsunami hit the Sri Lankan Coast and few Japanese tourist were killed. The remains of the house in which these tourist stayed still exists. Its almost become a pilgrimage site for Japanese to pay homage to the departed souls.

Having said that this is one of the most picturesque place i have been. Given a chance I would like to go again.

INVERTED GLASS..!!

The Glass is kept inverted before the use. After use the user may get inverted...!!

 It is that time of the year nearing August 15th, Mid monsoon we are treated for a wonderful sight of colorful flowers in all shapes and sizes at the famous LALBAGH FLOWER SHOW at Bangalore.

OCEAN MEETS LAGOON...YALA, SRILANKA..!!

Yala wildlife reserve, Srilanka, is situated in the southern tip of the country. Close to the shore this wildlife reserve presents a unique terrain of Lagoons, Rocks and swamps....Leopards rules this part of the reserve.

DUBAI SKYLINE AT NIGHT...!!

These towers touch the sky proclaiming the riches of DUBAI. Glittering and basking in lights ...its a treat to watch the heaven on Earth. Should admire the community of Engineers, builder & people who conceived this idea and brought it into reality.

DESERT SAFARI, QUAD BIKE RIDE...DUBAI.....!!

Desert Safari in Dubai is a sport & fun to be indulged in. Quad bikes are the ATV's you can hire and ride allover the dunes. It is the best roller-coaster ride you can have up and down the dunes....You can car you own road and no lane discipline needed. FUN ALL THE WAY...!!

HARVEST TIME, MONSOON SEASON....!!

 Monsoon is the season for harvesting. Adequate rainfall will help the farmers to reap the benefits of good crop output.

Negligence, vandalism, and age are the tell tale stories of old structure. Exposed to vagaries of nature & human interference it tell a story of time. Here is the image of a structure showing age and crying for maintenance.

Yala Wild life reserve is very close to sea. The Delta like terrain creates lagoons fed by rain water. water takes a long time to receed when it rains. One good shower ensures lots of rivulets. 4 wheel drive vehicles are a must to get around the forest. Here is a image of our LAND ROVER...wading in one of the rivulets.

TRIBE, GREATER RANN OF KUTCH, GUJARATH,...!!

Nomads of Greater Rann of Kutch, They walk several miles along with their Camel herds. They live on camel milk for nutrition. They also have great sense of direction and memory.
