This is the exact place where the Tsunami hit the Sri Lankan Coast and few Japanese tourist were killed. The remains of the house in which these tourist stayed still exists. Its almost become a pilgrimage site for Japanese to pay homage to the departed souls.

Having said that this is one of the most picturesque place i have been. Given a chance I would like to go again.

Yala Wild life reserve is very close to sea. The Delta like terrain creates lagoons fed by rain water. water takes a long time to receed when it rains. One good shower ensures lots of rivulets. 4 wheel drive vehicles are a must to get around the forest. Here is a image of our LAND ROVER...wading in one of the rivulets.

Tallest Mega structure in the world, tricky to get a good perspective without distortion....Here is the image of this magnificent structure in evening light...Looks like it is touching the clouds. Its awe-inspiring at first sight and takes some time to sink in the feeling of the size....You have to strain you neck muscles to appreciate the beauty.

Any time of the Day or Night it is magnificent to watch and photograph. I was hopping like a rabbit to get a good vantage point to image this structure.

Dune bashing in a 4wd is a sport and tourism at Dubai. Wast expanse of desert and Sand dunes is a perfect setting for these powerful 4wd with their massive Horse Power engines. It was a first experience for me and enjoyed the roller-coaster ride on the dunes. It need great experience on the part of the driver to negotiate these dunes on their slopes and also avoid chances of getting stuck in the fine sand.

It was the Night of Super Moon...aka the perigee Moon.. Thanks to Media there was a lot of hype built-up. It was a spectacular rise of Moon which was about 14% larger.

Here is the series of pictures taken from the first sight at Horizon till about 45degress in the sky. Note the change in the color of the Moon ...this is due to the Earth Atmosphere.

All in all It woken up the common man to a have a look at this magnificent natural satellite of ours.

Here is the progressive perigee Moon image taken on 15th, 16th, & 17th March 2011. On 19th which is the closet point of Moon in its orbit around Earth...is aprox 3,56,000kms...It needs a trained eye to spot the difference in size of the moon.

None the less just go out and watch the full moon and enjoy the celestial beauty.

His mother brewed us a cup of Black tea....it was tasting eternal...I can vouch..the cup of tea came with loads of love.

This place in Greater Rann of Kutch is a swamp...and home for many birds...Early morning the only sound I could hear was the chirping of birds. This picture was taken en-route to Naliya Grasslands. I set out before Sunrise and was there at this beautiful Swamp which was habitat for lot of waders. Being at the great plain of the Little Rann Of Kutch early morning, much before Sunrise is mesmerrising ....The vast plains and endless horizon make you feel incredibly small. The Vast expanse of land devoid of any vegetation is mesmerizing....You tend to loose your sense of direction, especially if you are new. This picture shows a native riding his cycle, obvious of the direction he has to reach, braving the early morning cold just before the Sunrise..It was just beautiful.
